About the Role
AGF Talent is seeking a seasoned Director of Risk Management to join a leading healthcare organization. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring patient safety and minimizing risk across the organizations hospital facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with department heads and executive leadership to implement risk reduction strategies conduct comprehensive risk assessments and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Hospital Risk and Patient Safety Programs: Lead initiatives in risk management including claims handling incident investigation and conducting thorough risk assessments to enhance patient outcomes.
- Chair the Patient Safety Council: Guide and align hospitalwide risk management initiatives with enterprise programs.
- Develop Risk Mitigation Strategies: Work with hospital leadership to design and implement strategies that align with both corporate and facility goals.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission CMS DHS and internal hospital policies to safeguard the organization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Lead hospitalwide data collection and analysis for risk management and patient safety presenting actionable insights and education to key stakeholders.
- Provide Leadership in Risk Management: Ensure best practices are followed to enhance patient safety and minimize risk leveraging advanced methodologies like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Risk Management Healthcare Administration Nursing or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in hospital risk management or a related healthcare risk management role.
- Extensive knowledge of hospital operations and familiarity with hospital departmental structures.
- Indepth understanding of Joint Commission Standards CMS DHS regulations and hospital safety protocols.
- Proven experience with risk management tools such as RCA and FMEA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong skills in statistical analysis and datadriven decisionmaking.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada.
