Overview:
The SQL Developer plays a crucial role in designing developing and managing database solutions to support the organizations data needs. They are responsible for ensuring data integrity performance and security within the database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SQL queries and procedures to support application development and data analysis.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for improved performance and scalability.
- Implement and maintain ETL processes for data integration and migration.
- Participate in database design and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Create and maintain database documentation including data standards procedures and definitions.
- Implement security and encryption measures to protect sensitive data.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends anomalies and opportunities for optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues ensuring data consistency and availability.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures functions and triggers for data manipulation and validation.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new database technologies and tools.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on databaserelated matters.
- Participate in oncall support for critical database issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems such as SQL Server Oracle or MySQL.
- Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
- Strong understanding of database design normalization and indexing.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Understanding of data security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications in database technologies are a plus.
- Experience with cloudbased database solutions is a plus.
