Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical examinations and medical histories
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribing medications and therapies
- Collaborating with specialists for advanced care
- Providing patient education on health maintenance
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Developing and implementing care plans
- Monitoring and managing chronic diseases
- Offering preventive care and health promotion
- Documenting patient records accurately
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Supervising medical staff as needed
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards
- Engaging in continuous medical education
- Supporting community health initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Residency training in family medicine or internal medicine
- Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine
- State medical license and DEA registration
- Clinical experience in primary care settings
- Proficiency in medical decisionmaking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Thorough understanding of evidencebased medicine
- Commitment to patientcentered care
- Strong ethical and professional conduct
- Continual professional development and learning
- Knowledge of electronic health records systems
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently
