Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing in Vancouver WA with a passion for Behavioral Health/Psychiatric care. The Director will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations collaborating with physicians and staff managing patient care standards and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires someone who can effectively liaise between various stakeholders and prepare essential reports for leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between physicians patients referral sources and employees.
- Oversee nursing operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Prepare and manage monthly reports related to nursing operations and patient care.
- Support the organization s philosophy of care and promote a positive work environment.
- Supervise the nursing management team and provide guidance in patient care services.
MustHaves:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
- Prior Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health experience.
- Ability to serve as a liaison between physicians patients referral sources and employees.
- Experience preparing and managing monthly reports.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience working with chemical dependency dual diagnosis psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in patient assessments family motivations treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities. Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
