Key Responsibilities:
Embedded System Design: Design develop and test embedded systems for robotic applications including hardware and software integration.
Firmware Development: Write and maintain firmware for microcontrollers and processors used in robotics ensuring efficient and reliable performance.
Hardware Integration: Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate sensors actuators and communication interfaces with embedded systems.
Debugging and Testing: Conduct thorough debugging and testing of embedded systems to identify and resolve issues ensuring robustness and reliability.
Performance Optimization: Optimize embedded code and system performance for realtime operations and resource constraints.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for design specifications system architectures and testing procedures.
Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work with crossfunctional teams including software developers mechanical engineers and system architects to ensure seamless integration of embedded systems into robotic platforms.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems and robotics and apply best practices to improve system performance and development processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Embedded Systems Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C Python or assembly.
- Experience with realtime operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
- Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as I2C SPI UART and GPIO.
- Familiarity with robotic systems sensors actuators and communication protocols (CAN Ethernet etc.).
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques including oscilloscopes logic analyzers and JTAG.
- Understanding of safety and reliability standards in robotics.
