Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing developing and implementing innovative solutions for manufacturing and robotics applications. This position demands a strong technical background creative problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
Responsibilities:
Product Design: Develop and design new products or systems ensuring they meet project specifications standards and regulatory requirements. Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed designs and prototypes.
Concept Development: Generate and evaluate design concepts conduct feasibility studies and propose effective solutions to complex engineering problems.
Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and ensure performance criteria are met. This includes stress analysis thermal analysis and materials selection.
Prototype Development: Create and test prototypes iterating on designs based on test results and feedback to refine and improve product performance and reliability.
Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams including manufacturing quality assurance and supply chain management to ensure seamless integration of designs into production processes.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation including drawings specifications and reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate and uptodate.
Project Management: Manage design projects from concept through to production including planning scheduling and resource allocation. Track project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements to incorporate best practices into designs.
ProblemSolving: Identify and address designrelated issues and challenges. Provide technical support and solutions during the production and postproduction phases.
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their requirements and incorporate their feedback into design solutions. Provide technical support and product training as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design Robotics or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) and other design tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies.
Analytical Skills: Experience with engineering analysis tools and techniques. Ability to perform detailed design calculations and simulations.
Project Management: Proven experience in managing design projects with strong organizational and time management skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
ProblemSolving: Strong problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing design challenges.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to achieve project goals.
