CNC Service Technician Elk Grove Village IL

Position Overview:

A leading company in the CNC machine tooling industry is seeking a skilled CNC Service Technician to join the team in Elk Grove Village IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This position requires both domestic and occasional international travel including to Canada and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install maintain troubleshoot and repair CNC machines (experience with Citizen & Miyano machines is helpful).
  
• Assist with field startups and provide customer training as needed.
  
• Replace critical machine components such as ball screws motors and cartridge spindles.
  
• Utilize ladder and diagnostic functions on various controls.
  
• Provide phone support for troubleshooting issues with occasional high call volumes.
  
• Perform firstpart runoffs to ensure machine acceptance.
  
• Align and interface the barfeed unit and adjust tools as necessary.
  
• Repair spindle bearings.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• 36 years of experience in CNC machine tooling.
  
• 14 years of experience with Swissstyle CNC machines (preferred).
  
• Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems read ladder diagrams and use control diagnostics.
  
• Experience with electrical mechanical and automation systems.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Ability to interact professionally with customers both in person and over the phone.
  
• Valid drivers license and passport required.
  
• Proficient in geometry and Microsoft Office.
  
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  

Travel Requirements:

• Domestic travel required.
  
• Occasional international travel to Canada and Mexico.
