Field Service Engineer Los Angeles CA
Position Overview:
A leading company in the machine tool industry is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the team in the Los Angeles area. The role involves the installation repair and upgrading of CNC equipment and systems. This position is based in Schaumburg IL and services the Western Territories. Engineers at various levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide postsales support including technical and operational training troubleshooting repair and installation of CNC machining equipment and peripherals.
- Plan and coordinate activities related to equipment installation repair and upgrades.
- Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical issues identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to prioritize and execute tasks.
- Examine machinery and communicate with operators to identify mechanical or human errors.
- Advise management and factory engineers on equipment defects customer satisfaction and product improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical mechanical or engineering technology.
- 25 years of experience in a machine tool company.
- Knowledge of Fanuc machines and CNC systems.
- Understanding of PLC systems and diagrams.
- Ability to operate forklifts and manual lifting equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel 3050%.
Schedule & Job Type:
- Fulltime position Monday to Friday 8hour shifts.
- Work location: Primarily on the road.
