JOB TITLE: Principal AI Strategist

LOCATION: Remote (potential come into office once a month)

DURATION: C2H (Long term position)

No C2C No H1b/OPT/CPT Not open to sponsorship

START DATE: 2 Weeks

DUE DATE: 24 48 Hours

Position Summary:

Role: AI Strategist

Scope: Work across all teams influencing key decisions and strategies both digital and inclub.

Responsibilities:

Identify and capitalize on AI and data science opportunities.

Shape the companys AI strategy.

Enhance member and team member experiences using AI.

Look for someone in AI Sr Product Manager/ with knowledge of AI Engineer roles

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evolution of Experiences:

Creating roadmaps strategy leading force in AI for Life Time

Guide the creation of new solutions.

Build out shared AI capabilities.

Establish a cohesive plan and reference patterns.

Focus on longterm operation and evolution beyond delivery.

2. Solution Design:

Demand a holistic approach.

Define and improve monitoring and measurement of experiences.

3. Business Context and Challenges:

Comprehend and analyze business context.

Devise machine learning or data science solutions using value engineering methodologies.

Ensure solutions are embraced by business teams and value is realized.

4. Advisory Role:

Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams.

Individual contributor Reports directly to Senior VP

Be able to speak to communications ops Senior leadership executives including CEO how we can utilize AI and being that point person leading the charge

Dont need to be super technical need to be able to talk the talk. Break down technical in laymans

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience. (Would like to see candidates from reputable schools)

Experience:

10 years as a product owner for consumerfacing applications in a hospitality environment.

Experience building experiences leveraging ML models and LLMs.

Familiarity with modern agile software engineering methodologies.

Ability to communicate concepts findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Having an entrepreneurial mindset (maybe background in startups)

Being comfortable wearing several different hats and being able to adapt doing things outside your specific role

They must have that passion for what they are doing and really enjoy the work that they will create and pave the way for the future of Life Time Technology

Technologist Role: Frontend leader for AI crossfunctional with engineers operations CEO communications.

Responsibilities: Creating roadmap and strategy working with operations and communications and being a subject matter expert in AI.

Background: Engineering or product management.

Compensation: when converted to FTE it will come with bonus structure as well as base.

Location: Open to candidates outside MN if they are willing or interested in relocating huge plus! (Better off looking outside of MN as they have looked within for this position)

Drew Trabing: Leads a team of 3 engineers 5 people in total.

Reporting: Individual contributor reporting to Freddie Senior VP of Technology and Matt also Senior VP of Technology

Technology Stack:

Platforms: Azure Microsoft shop Snowflake.

They will need to win over the current Engineering Manager Drew.

Qualities: Entrepreneurial background knowledgeable good communicator able to simplify complex terms.

Interview Process: 57 rounds send candidates to Josh. Preference for candidates from reputable schools.

Position Summary

The AI Strategists role is pivotal in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for AI and data science. This individual will work across all teams within Life Time influencing key decisions and strategies. Although this role is part of our Digital team its scope extends beyond digital interfaces encompassing inclub operations as well as digital interactions with members and team members.


The AI Strategist is charged with steering the evolution of our strategies for consumers and team members to effectively utilize AI. This individual will have the unique opportunity to help shape the companys AI strategy and is integral to our ambitious vision of transforming and elevating our member and team member experience using AI.

This role has two primary responsibilities. The first is to comprehend and analyze the business context and challenges and to devise machine learning or data science solutions using value engineering methodologies. The second responsibility is to ensure that the developed solutions are embraced by the business teams and that the anticipated value is realized. The AI Strategist will serve as a trusted advisor to our business teams.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Own the evolution of existing experiences guide the creation of new solutions and build out our shared AI capabilities.
  • Establish a cohesive plan and reference patterns
  • Demand a holistic approach to solution design focusing beyond delivery to think about the experience and longterm operation and evolution.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 10 years as a product owner for consumerfacing applications in a hospitality environment.
  • Experience building experiences that leverage both ML models and LLMs
  • Experience interacting with modern agile software engineering methodologies and approaches
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts findings & recommendations to senior leadership
