About the Role:
Were on the hunt for a dynamic Principal Engineer to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role youll take ownership of data center projects utilizing your expertise in data center design construction and operations. If youre passionate about engineering and have a proven track record of success in project management and innovation we want to meet you!

Your Mission:

• Lead and manage the design engineering team in the conceptualization design and implementation of data center projects ensuring all systems meet performance reliability and safety standards.
• Provide technical leadership in the design of mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems ensuring integration with architectural and structural elements.
• Drive innovation in data center design incorporating the latest technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Develop and manage project schedules budgets and resources ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients architects contractors and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including design specifications asbuilt drawings and operation manuals.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

Skills:

• Project Management: PMP Agile Scrum ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Engineering Design: Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP systems and engineering design software.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: SQL Excel Tableau Power BI for reporting analysis and decisionmaking.
• Team Leadership & Communication: Proven experience in leading teams fostering collaboration and presenting complex technical information to stakeholders.
• Sustainability & Innovation: Expertise in integrating sustainable solutions and innovative practices in engineering design.
• ProblemSolving & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical abilities to identify issues and develop solutions for complex engineering challenges.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Experience: 10 years of experience in engineering with at least 5 years in a senior or principal role managing data center projects.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license required; LEED accreditation and other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD Revit and other engineering design software.
• Strong Knowledge of Systems: HVAC electrical power distribution plumbing and other critical systems for data center operations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Project Management Skills: Proven track record of managing largescale projects including budgeting scheduling and resource allocation.

Certifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE)
• LEED accreditation (preferred)
• Additional relevant certifications

Education:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering or related field
• Masters degree in a related field (preferred)
