Job Description
We are partnering with a major organization in the energy distribution industry to source a Senior Data Project Manager with a focus on dataoriented projects. This position involves leading initiatives for the SmartGrid program addressing challenges brought about by the energy transition. The role requires strong experience in managing data projects such as data platform development and largescale data migrations and offers the chance to contribute to a significant transformation within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management
- Develop a detailed project plan (objectives scope resources milestones business case risks and communication).
- Collaborate with the program lead to present and validate the plan with the steering committee.
- Ensure project progress by monitoring timelines budgets and resource use initiating corrective measures when necessary.
- Coordinate with other project managers in the program to manage dependencies across different projects.
- Prepare project reports endphase reports and exception reports to ensure proper governance and direction.
Operational Management
- Create a Project Initiation Document (PID) and coordinate the production of deliverables.
- Track the projects progress to ensure it is delivered on time within budget and meets quality expectations.
- Lead and motivate the project team manage risks and issues and ensure effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Document lessons learned and provide recommendations for followup actions and improvements.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure the project adheres to the established project management methodology (Prince2 and MSP).
- Coordinate quality audits and manage change requests after validation from the steering committee.
- Ensure that all documentation and project outputs align with the companys standards.
- Manage organizational change activities and support postGo Live processes.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Continuously collaborate with the program lead and represent the project at steering committees.
- Communicate project status to key stakeholders and escalate significant risks or issues as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Degree in a relevant field (IT data management or similar).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management with a focus on datarelated projects (data platform implementation large data migrations).
- Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies such as Prince2 (mandatory).
- Experience in the utilities sector particularly in network management (musthave).
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project Planview Azure DevOps).
- Languages:
- Fluent in French (C2) and English (B1) on the CEFR scale.
