Alentis Therapeutics the Claudin1 Company is on a mission to treat cancer and reverse fibrosis. To this end we are rapidly advancing a clinical pipeline of antiClaudin1 monoclonal antibodies. Our team is committed to unlocking the broad potential of our therapeutic target Claudin1 and bringing muchneeded medicines to patients suffering from solid tumors as well as kidney liver and lung fibrosis.
Tasks
In this position you acts as a sparring partner for the CFO. The Head Finance is responsible for planning and of all operational financial matters in alignment with the CFO Specific focus on financial planning accounting consolidation & controlling of the company.
Budget Reporting & Controlling:
- Elaboration & adjustment of budgets and rolling cash flow forecasts
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with SCO and IFRS
- Preparation and development of monthly consolidated reports
- Controlling of actual cost versus budgeted/forecasted cost
- Preparation of reporting to BoD/Management & BoDmeetings presentation of
finance part
Accounting:
- Reviewing of accounting entries of all 3 entities
- Preparation and calculation of quarterly cutoffs especially R&D accruals
- Managing of one inhouse accountant and two external accounting firms with a
nearterm plan to internalize all accounting/controllership activities
Audit/Due Dilligence:
- Main contact for auditors during yearend audit
- Development of internal controls (ICS)
Valuations / Share register / ESOP:
- Company and ESOP valuations
- Preparation of Cap Table and yearend confirmation on shareholdings
Requirements
- Masters degree in Finance or Business Administration
- 10 years of financial experience in biotech and pharma industry is a must
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills ability to interface and communicate effectively with executive management and other functions within the organization
- Solid network in the Life Science Industry and excellent ability to network and negotiation skills
- Thorough knowledge of the capital market and financial tools processes rules and regulations including best practices
- Fluent in spoken and written English and German additional languages are an asset
- Collaborative attitude team player
- Excellent planning and strong organizational skills able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
- Excellent conceptual thinking which is used to approach and solve complex issues and their implications
