Job Description
SIEM Engineering Consultant
Location: Onsite in Medellin
Hourly USD rate: $40 to $50 depending on skills and experience
Contract Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SOC Consultant to join our team in Medellin Colombia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SIEM/SOAR technologies with specific expertise in IBM Qradar and preferably Trellix.
Key Requirements:
- 35 years of experience as a SOC consultant with preference for seniorlevel experience
- High degree of expertise in SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and SOAR (Security Orchestration Automation and Response) technologies
- Extensive experience with IBM Qradar
- Experience with Trellix is a plus
- Fluency in English (minimum C1 level for both speaking and reading)
- Must be based in Medellin Colombia and available for onsite work
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultancy on SIEM/SOAR implementation and optimization
- Lead the configuration and management of IBM Qradar and other relevant security tools
- Develop and implement security use cases and correlation rules
- Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to enhance overall security posture
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge on best practices
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM or GIAC are preferred
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
Additional Information:
- This is a 3month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs
- The role requires onsite presence in our Medellin Colombia office
