- Site Qualification & Production Studies: Analyse and qualify potential solar project sites conduct production studies and design forecasts using tools like Helioscope and PVSyst.
- Energy Yield Assessment (EYA): Collaborate with thirdparty companies to optimize energy yield and ensure technical accuracy.
- Engineering Layout Optimization: Define and optimize the basic engineering layout focusing on CAPEX OPEX costs and solar performance (module technology pitch/tilt angles etc.).
- Electrical Studies: Design and size solar arrays with an emphasis on integration of Battery Energy Systems (BESS) when necessary.
- Equipment Selection: Choose appropriate structures inverters modules and SCADA systems based on project requirements.
- Procurement & Budgeting: Handle Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) request for quotation processes liaise with major equipment suppliers and provide initial pricing and CAPEX/OPEX budget updates.
- Technical Support & Client Communication: Present technical alternatives or solutions to clients providing a technical overview that aligns with their needs.
- Financial Modelling & Contract Negotiations: Actively participate in EPC and O&M contract negotiations collaborating with other departments on financial modeling.
- Project Acquisition: Conduct audits of environmental legal and technical documents inspect solar equipment and verify electrical output forecasts.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of experience in the solar sector with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of solar projects.
- Software Proficiency: Mandatory knowledge of PVSyst Helioscope or other PV system design tools.
