Job Description
Job Title: Linux RHEL Administrator (Junior to Intermediate Level)
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Linux RHEL Administrator ranging from junior to intermediate level who possesses a strong foundation in system administration. This role is critical in managing and optimizing our Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments ensuring seamless deployment scalability and security of our cybersecurity platforms. Individuals will utilize their expertise to support mission needs and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Linux RHEL System Administration: Manage configure and maintain Linux RHEL servers to ensure optimal performance security and reliability. Conduct regular system updates and patches. Ability to support instances in a multitiered environment including AWS Cloud and OnPrem.
Security and Compliance: Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and compliance within organizational security standards and directives. Implement security measures and conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and protection.
Support Splunk Enterprise Instance: Responsible for management of Splunk Enterprise instances including configurations deployments and routine maintenance tasks.
Network Security Monitoring Tool Integration. Support the deployment scaling and management of Network Security Monitoring tool suites. Work closely with Intrusion Detection Analysts to ensure successful implementation to provide robust threat detection capabilities.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expertlevel troubleshooting support for Linux RHEL systems and other cybersecurity tools. Address and resolve system issues to minimize downtime.
Documentation and Training: Develop and provide comprehensive documentation on system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements:
Secret Clearance
1 3 plus years of experience in Linux RHEL administration with handson experience in installation configuration and security hardening.
Ability to communicate/demonstrate IT systems administration experience managing mission critical systems to include installation configuration account management automation/scripting patching and security management.
Knowledge of network protocols and cybersecurity concepts.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification within 6 months of hire
Excellent problemsolving abilities and communication skills.
Ability to participate in oncall rotation providing 24/7 onsite support.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
Understanding of the core concepts of Splunk Enterprise.
Familiarity with Cisco devices to include Cisco Firepower and Secure Network Analytics.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.

35 years of experience in Linux RHEL administration with handson experience in installation configuration and security hardening.
