Principal Engineer

Role Purpose:

The Principal Engineer is responsible for developing new solutions installing configuring and managing infrastructure for applications within the Sanctions and Screening portfolio. The role requires coordination with multiple teams and providing summaries/reports to senior management. Experience with FircoSoft application components (Firco Trust Firco Continuity FSK TCMAPI Utilities etc.) is essential. The role also involves providing necessary technical support including design build security and infrastructure management. Knowledge of AWS Angular and Java is a plus.

Additional Accountabilities:

• Regular interactions with internal teams such as application teams Infra teams Security team testing team and vendor coordination for remediation.
  

Job Knowledge Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in IT Computer Sciences Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  
• 12 years of experience in the software systems development life cycle (SDLC) process and support.
  
• Strong experience with Firco Continuity Firco Trust FSK and Firco Utilities.
  
• Experience with Firco Case Manager API is advantageous.
  
• Experience with job scheduling tools.
  
• Knowledge of IBM MQ and WebSphere.
  
• Experience with Java/J2EE Spring framework Angular and AWS is desirable.
  
• Strong experience in Unix Shell Scripting.
  
• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting issues.
  
• Exposure to Agile methodology is a plus.
  
• Strong communication coordination and teamworking skills.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented manner.
  
• Initiative positive work attitude quick learning ability and willingness to take on new challenges.
  
• Strong interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  

Tasks:

• Manage the development and configuration of Fircosoft components.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure closure of tasks.
  
• Participate in regular meetings with IT and Compliance technology teams to track and update progress.
  
• Interact with Infra teams to troubleshoot challenges.
  
• Evaluate and assess remedial measures for observations logged in JIRA.
  
• Track items meticulously for closure.
  
• Develop and maintain problem analysis and resolution techniques for applications.
  
• Communicate and document observations and escalate to appropriate IT staff or vendors as needed.
  
• Engage with vendors and challenge limitations as appropriate.
  
• Carry out assignments independently or as part of a team applying knowledge skills and experience.
  
• Understand and address issues and problems proposing viable solutions within the acceptable scope.
  
• Work with business users IT support teams and vendors to monitor and report progress on required tasks.
  
• Maintain documentation of existing systems and processes.
  
• Interface with internal and external entities regarding projects costs software hardware and other areas to remediate observations.
  
• Strive to learn the job functions of immediate superior and peerlevel positions preparing for temporary reassignment or promotion as needed.
