Developer Duties: Where Your Code Meets Its Match!

Development

• Create implementation plans for new features.
  
• Write and maintain code to meet system requirements and technical specifications ensuring quality standards.
  
• Develop detailed system and technical design specifications and documentation for new features.
  
• Identify technology limitations in current applications and code and provide alternative solutions.
  
• Drive discussions for new feature development and bug resolutions.
  
• Develop SuiteScript 2.0 customizations and update or modify existing scripts.
  
• Administer NetSuite by resolving system issues participating in upgrades developing workflows and creating new functionality using SuiteScript 2.0.
  
• Maintain existing SuiteScript 2.0 RESTlets.
  

Testing & Debugging

• Support diagnosing and correcting complex production issues.
  
• Direct system testing and validation procedures.
  
• Develop and implement automated test strategies.
  
• Ensure all work meets team quality standards through automated testing.
  

Training

• Research new technology.
  
• Engage in peer programming with more senior developers.
  
• Set growth goals for continuous learning and development.
  

Mentorship

• Mentor junior developers within the squad.
  
• Provide code reviews and direction for improvement.
  
• Conduct knowledgesharing sessions and technical workshops.
  

Research and Analysis

• Research analyze and evaluate system needs.
  
• Explore new technologies to enhance software.
  
• Analyze costs of external services.
  
• Present findings and consult with the Architecture Chapter.
  
• Help establish team standards for new technologies.
  

Requirements

The Perfect Script: Are You the Code We re Looking For

• Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level or higher or Microsoft Certification.
  
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  
• Strong time management skills.
  
• Desire to work in a dynamic team environment.
  
• Experience developing solutions for Cloud/SaaS web environments.
  
• Ability to write clean and performant code that runs quickly and robustly.
  
• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue React Angular).
  
• Experience working with a Cloud service provider (e.g. Azure) and modern programming languages (e.g. C# Java JavaScript).
  
• Apply best practices and patterns in software development (e.g. S.O.L.I.D. Y.A.G.N.I).
  
• Experience in NetSuite development using SuiteScript 2.0.
  
• Experience modifying existing scripts and workflows as well as developing new customizations and workflows.
