Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Full Stack Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and maintaining Shopify ecommerce websites and will bring a strong aesthetic sense especially when it comes to adhering to visual and brand guidelines. Your work will focus on creating responsive visually striking and highperforming online stores that align with both the brand and internal culture of our clients particularly in the luxury goods sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Shopifybased ecommerce websites with a focus on clean highquality code and robust functionality.
- Collaborate closely with designers and product teams to ensure that the final product is visually appealing and aligned with client branding and visual guidelines.
- Implement custom features and functionality in Shopify using Liquid JavaScript CSS and other web technologies.
- Ensure the frontend design is fully responsive optimized for mobile devices and consistent across browsers.
- Integrate thirdparty applications APIs and services as needed to enhance the site's functionality (e.g. payment gateways shipping solutions customer service tools).
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to Shopify stores and their performance.
- Ensure a seamless user experience (UX) while adhering to best practices for ecommerce and online retail.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for live websites including troubleshooting updates and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to represent the internal culture through the website design and functionality.
- Familiarity with luxury goods apparel fashion and jewelry industries and understanding their unique needs and challenges in ecommerce design and development.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience developing custom Shopify themes and apps.
- Strong proficiency with Liquid (Shopify's templating language) and familiarity with Shopify's backend architecture.
- Expertise in frontend web technologies including HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and jQuery.
- Experience with Shopify's RESTful API and GraphQL API.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap TailwindCSS).
- Excellent understanding of ecommerce principles and UX/UI best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers to implement visually rich designs and ensure they translate into functional code.
- Strong attention to detail in adhering to brand guidelines visual aesthetics and design specifications.
- Experience working with luxury goods fashion apparel or jewelry brands is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira Slack Trello).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Shopify Plus.
- Familiarity with Shopify's Polaris design system and its best practices.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify ecommerce stores.
- Experience in building and optimizing highconversion landing pages and product pages.
- Knowledge of performance optimization (e.g. speed SEO and load times).
Personal Traits:
- Passionate about building aesthetically pleasing userfocused ecommerce experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- A keen eye for design and detail especially in the context of luxury and highend branding.
