Job Description

Job Title: RN Outpatient

Location: Pine Ridge Kyle Health Center Wanblee health Center Lacreek Health Center Pine Ridge service Unit South Dakota

Start Date: November 2024

Duration: 6 to 12 Months

Shift Schedule: 8 or 10hours shift days/nights weekend holiday

Qualification:

Education: highest degree attained in Nursing

Certifications: Any state RN license is acceptable

Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS

Experience: Registered Nurse must have at least two (2) years or more experience in nursing medicalsurgical inpatient specialty and Acute Care Units.

Experience with EHR highly is recommended

Roles and Responsibilities:

RN shall work in an OutPatient Clinic Nursing Department but may infrequently be floated to the Emergency Room or Acute Care InPatient units to act as a patient observer or pass medications or other intermittent care needs as staffing needs arise.

Position provides direct care in assessing planning implementing and evaluating care of all assigned patients in the Outpatient Department Specialty Clinic Departments Mobile Clinic patients. Responsible for performing direct patient care duties to all ages of patients with diverse acute & chronic health problems.

  • Provide direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages.
  • Conduct patient identification and manage various interventions including medication administration and dressing changes.
  • Perform nursing reassessments and update care plans based on patient responses.
  • Cover for staff absences as needed.
  • Educate patients on disease processes procedures and care plans.
  • Assess and plan care addressing patients physical emotional and cultural needs.
  • Initiate treatments and document nursing interventions and patient responses.
  • Maintain nursing documentation and ensure confidentiality and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
