Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detailoriented QA Administrator to join their Quality Assurance team in Mitchelstown. The QA Administrator will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and safety standards of their products by supporting the QA team in documentation audits and compliance management. The successful candidate will help ensure that all products meet all relevant regulatory customer and company requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Documentation Management:
    • Maintain and update all QArelated documentation including product specifications SOPs policies and records.
    • Ensure that all quality records are correctly filed easily accessible and regularly reviewed.
    • Assist in the preparation and review of reports on quality metrics nonconformances and corrective actions.
  2. Compliance & Audits:
    • Support internal and external audits including BRC customer and regulatory audits.
    • Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards (BRC HACCP ISO etc.).
    • Coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) from audits or nonconformances.
  3. Supplier and Customer Liaison:
    • Maintain qualityrelated communications with suppliers and customers.
    • Ensure supplier certificates accreditations and specifications are uptodate and compliant with company standards.
    • Assist with customer complaint logs and ensure timely resolution of complaints in collaboration with the QA team.
  4. Quality Systems Support:
    • Assist with the management of the company s Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring it is kept uptodate.
    • Help monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Participate in product testing and sample evaluation where necessary.
  5. Training & Development:
    • Organize and track employee training in food safety quality and compliance.
    • Assist the QA Manager in delivering qualityrelated training sessions to staff.
  6. Administrative Tasks:
    • Handle daytoday administrative duties within the QA department including data entry filing and report generation.
    • Ensure that all QA databases and logs are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.


Requirements

Key Requirements:

    • Relevant qualifications in Food Science Quality Assurance or a related field are preferred.
    • Knowledge of food safety standards and quality management systems (e.g. HACCP BRC) is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in an administrative or quality assurance role preferably within the food industry.
    • Familiarity with QA systems and processes in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
    • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with QMS software is a plus.
