Our client is an established company known for its exceptional service and commitment to excellence.
Summary of Role:
The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring project completion on time within budget and to specification. Reporting to the Contracts Manager the Site Manager will oversee site operations compliance with SOPs and maintain quality standards. In the event of shortterm absence responsibilities will be delegated to the senior employee onsite. For longer absences the Contracts Manager will appoint a temporary Site Manager.

Responsibilities:
Safety:
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to prepare required safety documentation.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety legislation and ISO 45001 requirements.
Provide induction training for our clients employees and subcontractors.
Implement the our clients Quality Environmental and Safety Management System on site.
Prevent accidents injuries and safety nonconformances during audits.
Supervision of Employees:
Assign employees to tasks matching their skills and monitor their productivity and quality.
Record attendance and review performance of new employees after three months.
Address any concerns and implement improvements following performance reviews.
Overseeing Subcontractors:
Participate in subcontractor appointments and project procurement schedules with the project QS.
Ensure subcontractors meet deadlines and quality standards.
Record subcontractor attendance and monitor work quality.
Identify and rectify problems promptly and formally accept completed work steps.
Materials and Plant:
Efficiently manage materials and plant usage.
Order materials from approved suppliers and handle purchasing requirements.
Check deliveries for quantity and quality protecting materials from damage and theft.
Report unproductive plant and defective materials segregate and identify them and inform the office for corrective action.
Customer Property:
Prevent damage to client property and report any damages to the Contracts Manager.
Customer Relations Including Variations & Items Requiring Clarification:
Establish clear communication with client representatives.
Resolve design team queries and ensure contract variations are authorized and costaware.
Submit RFIs maintain the RFI Register and manage CVIs.
Defects Snags etc.:
Complete snag lists and defect reports for review.
Report significant issues that cannot be promptly resolved to the Contracts Manager.
Security Housekeeping & Waste Disposal:
Manage site security and ensure the site is clean and tidy.
Segregate waste for collection by a Licensed Contractor.
Documentation and Records:
Maintain relevant documents construction drawings safety files attendance records material deliveries plant hires and AsBuilt information.
General:
Keep the Contracts Manager and office informed of site progress.
Compile weekly activity schedules update programs produce progress reports and attend site meetings.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Skills Required:

Proficiency in computer skills
Comprehensive knowledge of construction and ability to inspect workmanship
Organizational skills and good time management
Commitment and enthusiasm
Working Knowledge of:
Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005
Safety Health and Welfare at Works (General Application) Regulations 2007
Safety Health and Welfare at Works (Construction) Regulations 2013
Building Regulations
Needs experience in Ireland.
