Job Description
Are you a numbersdriven individual with an eye for detail and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy Affinity Services is on the lookout for a dynamic Accounts Clerk to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our financial operations. As part of our vibrant and growing organization you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial integrity of the company.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately enter and maintain financial data including invoices receipts and payment records ensuring all transactions are uptodate.
- Processing Transactions: Handle accounts payable and receivable by processing payments ensuring timely invoice clearance and reconciling discrepancies.
- Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Report Generation: Prepare monthly financial statements reports and summaries to provide clear insights into financial performance.
- Assist with Audits: Collaborate with external auditors and provide them with necessary financial information for smooth audit processes.
- VAT & Tax Returns: Assist in preparing and submitting VAT and tax returns in compliance with South African regulations.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses ensuring they are recorded accurately and in line with budgets.
- Communication: Liaise with suppliers and clients regarding payment inquiries and resolve any outstanding financial issues efficiently.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounts clerk role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Familiarity with South African financial regulations and tax laws is a plus.
- Matric certificate is a must.
