Job Description
Overview:
The Logistics Executive plays a crucial role in managing the supply chain and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. They are responsible for overseeing vendor management and optimizing logistics processes to meet the organizations operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the supply chain and logistics operations.
- Oversee vendor management and develop strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstock.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation to optimize efficiency and costs.
- Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement solutions to improve processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels.
- Implement and maintain effective logistics and warehouse strategies.
- Provide regular reports on logistics performance metrics and KPIs.
- Resolve any issues or disruptions in the supply chain effectively and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of logistics partners and service providers.
- Contribute to the development of logistics strategies and initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or relevant field.
- Proven experience in logistics operations supply chain management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of vendor management and procurement processes.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to optimize logistics processes.
- Proficiency in inventory control and management.
- Solid knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics technology.
- Ability to use data and metrics to drive logistics and supply chain improvements.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities for vendor relationships.
- Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using logistics software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven track record of costsaving and process optimization in logistics.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
