Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build maintain and improve datadriven products and services
- Develop algorithms and models to identify patterns and trends in complex data sets
- Utilize machine learning techniques for predictive modeling and data mining
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
- Clean and preprocess data to provide actionable insights
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends patterns and outliers in complex data sets
- Create visualizations and reports to showcase findings from data analysis
- Conduct statistical inference to answer business questions and guide decisionmaking processes
- Communicate findings to nontechnical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Stay up to date with latest technology trends in data science and implement best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or related field
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of machine learning data mining and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python R or Java
- Handson experience with big data tools and platforms (e.g. Hadoop Spark)
- Expertise in SQL with the ability to write complex queries
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or D3.js
- Experience with data cleaning preprocessing and wrangling techniques
- Ability to work with unstructured data and perform text mining
- Familiarity with cloud services for data storage and processing (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
- Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills
- Good understanding of business needs and the ability to translate them into technical requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex findings to diverse audiences
- Certifications in Data Science Machine Learning or related areas would be a plus
