What qualities are we looking for in our Kindergarten and SchoolAge teachers at our Long Branch Site
- Passion Working with Older Children. You love working with postkindergarten children and aspire to help them grow and develop. You are also motivated to provide the best care and education tailored to their later stage of development.
- Value Working in a Team. You are open to guidance from team leaders and supervisors who offer clear instructions and structured environments. We are looking for a program teacher who is a team player and who works well with other team members.
- Preference for a Stable Supportive and Engaging Work Environment. You enjoy simply being around children and implementing an ageappropriate curriculum that supports the developmental milestones of Kindergartners and SchoolAgers.

Your Responsibilities to Promote LateStage Development:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for the Kindergartners and SchoolAgers in your care. Ensure the health safety and wellbeing of all children always.
- Develop and implement ageappropriate curriculum plans and activities with modifications using Universal Design for Learning. This will involve activities that foster independence and critical thinking. The curriculum will be uniquely challenging to stimulate their problemsolving skills..
- Provide guidance as children develop essential life skills: Be attentive with the children and encourage their social emotional cognitive and physical development. You must create an environment that can promote skills such as fairness time management responsibility and selfregulation.
- Be able to work in a fastpaced environment!
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians including the ability to handle difficult conversations and discuss childrens developmental progress.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities and behavior.
- Create and implement Individual Support Plans when required and can advocate for childrens individual needs.

Technical Training and Experience Requirements
- *** Membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs only) ***
- ** Child and Youth Practitioners are welcome to apply **
- Have a minimum 2year employment experience working with Kindergartner and SchoolAge children in a group setting
- Experienced in using ELECT and How Does Learning Happen in Emergent Curriculum planning
- All necessary qualifications and credentials as required by the Ministry of Education
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPRC/AED Certification
