Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Venture Capital Deal Origination Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing evaluating and building relationships with emerging startups and entrepreneurs. This role is crucial in identifying highpotential investment opportunities and contributing to the growth of our investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify and source highquality investment opportunities through networking market research industry events and referrals.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs industry experts accelerators incubators and other key stakeholders.
- Market Analysis: Conduct indepth market research and analysis to identify trends emerging technologies and potential investment targets.
- Initial Evaluation: Perform preliminary assessments of potential deals including evaluating business models market potential and competitive landscape.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the investment team to share insights provide recommendations and contribute to the decisionmaking process.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on deal flow market trends and investment opportunities to senior management.
- Networking: Represent the firm at industry conferences pitch events and networking functions to enhance the firms visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in venture capital private equity investment banking or a related field with a focus on deal origination and market analysis.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem including trends technologies and funding stages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successful deal sourcing and evaluation.
- Analytical mindset with strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
