Job Description
Do you have a passion for delicious food and inspiring creativity in the kitchen
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Tech ECT to join our vibrant department in the historic city of Cambridge.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and practical Food Tech lessons that explore culinary skills nutrition and food science
- Develop students confidence in the kitchen from basic techniques to recipe development
- Foster a love for healthy eating and exploring diverse cuisines from around the world
- Contribute to the development of our curriculum to ensure it is relevant engaging and promotes a wellrounded understanding of food
- Play a vital role in our supportive and inclusive school community
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a relevant subject (e.g. Hospitality Home Economics)
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for food cooking and healthy eating habits
- Excellent communication collaboration and classroom management skills especially in a handson learning environment
- A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and exploring culinary creativity
