Pay Rate: Range $3600 to $4000 weekly
Unit: Behavioral health units (Adults Adolescents Children LGBTQ)
Shift: 8 Hours; Days 8.00am 5.00pm
Schedule: 40 hours / week guaranteed 5 shifts per week MonFri every other weekend and some oncall may be required
Position Requirements:
Registered Nurse: 5 years Required 5 years of Continuous Behavioral Health Nurse Manager experience: 5 years Required Charge/Supervisor/Preceptor experience will not be considered must have Clinical Nurse Manager or Higher Required Experience must be in a Psychiatric setting. Corrections/LTC/Nursing home experience will not be considered Required Must be willing to float to other units and have a wellrounded skill set of all age groups Required Must be comfortable with LGBTQ patient population Required RTO No more than 7 days Education License and Certification Requirements:
ASN or an equivalent Required BSN or an equivalent Highly preferred RN License for State of VT or Compact Required (Facility will pend VT license can apply upon offer) CPI Certification or similar Preferred BLS Certification from AHA Required AHA BLS Required Job Description:
- Behavioral Health Nurse Manager is responsible for personnel management and coordination of patient care activities for a defined area in accordance with established philosophy objectives and policies of the facility to ensure safe efficient and therapeutic patient care.
- Works effectively with other departments.
- Nurse Manager is a key stakeholder in evaluation referral to treatment referral management and admissions at the facility and is responsible for all related processes and staff.
- Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer the Nurse Manager is responsible for the success of the following processes and key performance indicators including but not limited to referral processing turnaround time; referral completeness and accuracy; nursing standards and practices regarding the evaluation and admission of patients; the competencies related to the CLIA waived processes and point of care medical procedures and the staff that perform those functions
- Nurse manager is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance for the entire admissions process and department; participating in nursing leadership meetings performance improvement activities and performance evaluations of staff.
