Retail Assistant Manager Job Rathfarnham Dublin 16
My client is a very successful independent retail group with several stores around the Dublin 16 area that has been operating almost 15 years servicing the community.
Enhanced opportunities for career progression to run your own store responsible for budgets staff performances rosters and improving customer experience will be some of the experiences expectations and opportunities available with this retail business. If you enjoy being busy and a challenge this store is very busy turning over approx 45 million yearly and has almost 25 members of staff working here.
For the role of Retail Assistant Manager our client will offer up toDOE yearly salary 45 hour contract. Prior experience working in a supermarket convenience forecourt or catering food environment would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:
- Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
- Provide high level of customer service
- Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures
- Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur
- Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising sales promotion and display plans.
- Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
- Maintaining store staff by recruiting selecting and training new staff in conjunction with the HR department.
- Organizing special promotions displays and events.
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.
Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:
- 2 years of retail management experience ideally within an environment with fresh foods.
- Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- The ability to work in highpressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Selfmotivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
- A strong work ethic.
