Job Description
Our client a legal advisory firm based in Cape Town is currently seeking a qualified Intellectual Property Attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience in litigation. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough trademark clearance searches and oversee prosecution processes.
- Manage the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
- Handle commercial and transactional aspects related to intellectual property.
- Perform due diligence investigations to support informed decisionmaking.
- Engage in IP litigation to resolve disputes effectively.
- Address issues related to counterfeit goods.
- Manage domain name disputes to ensure comprehensive protection.
Education and experience:
- LLB degree.
- Must be an admitted Attorney.
- At least 3 6 years of indepth IP experience gained within an IP team at a law firm.
- Intellectual Property certification would advantageous (Trademarks Litigation and Registrations).
- Experience in all aspects of intellectual property patents domains trademark prosecution and litigation.
Salary: Market Related
