We are Solidicon a product company with an inhouse game studio creating a rare combination of a creative atmosphere with fastpaced innovation and longterm stability. Our journey began in 2006 and by now our gaming platform with stellar games is entertaining people in 20 countries. We are developing our own take on 2D mobile gaming classics together with building a portfolio of topclass virtual sports games. Our games run on a wide range of different mobile tablet desktop and TV devices.
The role
As a UI/UX Game Artist at Solidicon you will be at the forefront of creating immersive visually compelling experiences that captivate and engage players. Your creative expertise will be instrumental in driving the success and growth of our retail gaming platform through the delivery of intuitive visually stunning interfaces and ingame assets.
With a strong foundation in design principles user psychology and game mechanics youll combine aesthetic mastery with a deep understanding of how visuals drive player engagement. Collaborating closely with developers and designers youll create seamless experiences that beautifully blend form and function.
In this role you will be responsible for conceptualizing designing and refining user interfaces across various devices and platforms while crafting visually appealing ingame elements. From wireframing and prototyping to final design polish your contributions will shape the overall customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- UI/UX Design: Create userfriendly visually captivating interfaces that ensure a smooth intuitive customer experience.
- Game Asset Creation: Design and implement ingame visual elements such as menus buttons HUDs icons and other assets that enhance the player experience.
- Collaborative Workflow: Work closely with developers to translate gameplay mechanics into visually engaging interfaces and maintain cohesive game design.
- Prototyping and Testing: Develop interactive prototypes gather player feedback and iterate on designs to ensure peak functionality and appeal.
- Consistency and Style: Maintain visual consistency across the game while adhering to brand guidelines and pushing artistic boundaries to create memorable player experiences.
- ProblemSolving: Address visual design challenges with creative solutions to improve both usability and the overall game appeal.
Requirements:
- A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX designs for games or interactive media.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite Figma Sketch or similar software.
- Solid understanding of usercentered design usability and accessibility principles in game development.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while balancing creativity with project timelines and priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Knowledge of game design principles and how UI/UX impacts the overall gaming experience.
- Passion for gaming and dedication to staying uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in game design.
