Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Development: Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins ensuring clean efficient and reusable code.
- Theme Customization: Customize and modify existing WordPress themes to meet specific client requirements including layout changes functionality enhancements and content integration.
- Plugin Management: Install configure and customize WordPress plugins to add features and functionality as needed.
- Responsive Design: Ensure that all websites are fully responsive and optimized for different screen sizes and devices.
- Website Optimization: Optimize websites for speed performance and SEO using best practices and tools like caching minification and image optimization.
- Security Implementation: Implement security best practices to protect WordPress sites from threats including regular updates backups and vulnerability assessments.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues bugs and performance bottlenecks on WordPress sites.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design content and marketing teams to translate their vision into functional websites ensuring consistency in design and usability.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs provide updates and offer technical support.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for all custom development work including code comments project notes and user guides.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Proven experience in developing custom themes and plugins for WordPress.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and PHP.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture including the loop hooks and template hierarchy.
- Experience with frontend frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with WordPress REST API and integrating thirdparty APIs.
- Design Skills:
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools is a plus.
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
