Job Overview: As a Design Engineer with AutoCAD expertise you will be responsible for developing detailed engineering designs layouts and drawings for pump systems and related components. You will work closely with project engineers manufacturing teams and clients to ensure designs meet technical specifications performance criteria and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Drafting:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models layouts and technical drawings of pump components and systems using AutoCAD.
- Develop mechanical designs for pumps including impellers volutes seals bearings and casings.
- Revise existing designs and drawings as needed for upgrades or custom solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards (ISO ASME API etc.) and customer requirements.
Product Development:
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products and optimize current designs for manufacturing efficiency and costeffectiveness.
- Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure optimal pump performance including flow rates pressure and energy efficiency.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to production procurement and quality assurance teams regarding design intent and manufacturability.
- Assist in troubleshooting designrelated issues during fabrication and testing phases.
Project Coordination:
- Work with crossfunctional teams including sales project management and field engineers to deliver customized pump solutions on time.
- Coordinate design changes based on client feedback and project specifications.
Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation including engineering drawings bills of materials (BOM) and technical reports.
- Maintain project files and update drawing archives as necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is mandatory.
- Experience with other CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor CATIA) is a plus.
- Experience in the pump or rotating equipment industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics thermodynamics and pump design principles.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
