Job Description

Overview

The Head of Finance and Accounts plays a crucial role in overseeing all financial aspects of the organization providing strategic guidance on financial planning budgeting and analysis. This position is vital for ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company driving financial decisionmaking and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance and accounting team providing direction and oversight for all financial operations
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organizations overall strategic goals
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements reports and forecasts
  • Manage the budgeting process and monitor financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations and standards
  • Conduct financial analysis and risk assessment to support decisionmaking
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and other partners
  • Implement and optimize financial systems and processes
  • Provide leadership in evaluating and executing potential mergers acquisitions or partnerships
  • Participate in strategic planning and forecasting activities
  • Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting or related field; MBA preferred
  • CPA certification is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strategic thinking and decisionmaking capabilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite
  • Experience in a managerial role within a similar industry
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • High level of integrity and professional ethics
  • Strong negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Ability to drive change and process improvement initiatives
