Databricks Administrator

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our CFT Cloud Data Platform team. This Enterprise Project team is responsible for managing and administering the Cloud Data Platform focusing on Azure Data Bricks and Snowflake. The role involves overseeing system automation IAM role access management system and network security platform infrastructure feature release management and selfservice module tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• EndtoEnd Management: Oversee the entire infrastructure around the Data Platform including Azure Data Bricks and Snowflake.
  
• Databricks Administration: Manage and administer Databricks environments with a focus on Unity Catalog.
  
• SQL and Terraform: Utilize SQL for data management and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  
• Platform Management: Handle system automation IAM role access management system and network security and platform infrastructure.
  
• Shift Work: Adapt to shift timings based on EMEA and CST time zones.
  

Requirements

MustHave Skills:

• Azure Data Bricks: 7 years of experience in managing and administering Azure Data Bricks environments.
  
• Unity Catalog: Strong expertise in Unity Catalog within Databricks.
  
• SQL: Extensive experience (7 years) in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  
• Terraform: 3 years of experience in using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  
• Azure DevOps: Proficiency in Azure DevOps for CI/CD and platform management.
  

Desired Experience:

• Total Experience: 10 years in relevant technologies.
  
• Databricks Experience: Minimum 7 years in Databricks.
  
• Terraform and Azure DevOps: At least 3 years of experience with Terraform and Azure DevOps.
  

Educational Background:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
