Overview
Key responsibilities
- Assessing and planning nursing care requirements for patients.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitoring and recording patients conditions and vital signs.
- Assisting in diagnostic tests and analyzing results.
- Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Ensuring compliance with established nursing care standards and protocols.
- Participating in educational programs and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Supervising and mentoring junior nursing staff.
- Contributing to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Documenting patient care services and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient discharge and followup care.
- Participating in the development and implementation of nursing care plans.
- Assisting in the assessment and evaluation of patient outcomes.
Required qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in Punjab.
- Bachelors degree in nursing or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Staff Nurse or in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking abilities.
- Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and highpressure healthcare environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
- Understanding of ethical and legal nursing practices.
