Further Reach ( ) provides internet service to Mendonoma communities from Mendocino to The Sea Ranch to Anderson Valley. We are looking for fulltime (or parttime) field technicians to perform customer installations and repairs of fixed wireless Internet infrastructure.
We are growing quickly and need to expand our field team to perform new installations and repairs. A typical site visit includes:
- coordinating appointments with customers or the customer success team
- organizing gear ahead of time (long travel times make return visits impractical)
- understanding customer needs once on site
- explaining the install/repair plan to the customer
- assessing line of sight and then installing a rooftop radio antenna
- wiring from the rooftop radio antenna to a central location inside the home
- configuring the rooftop and inhome routers
- testing the completed installation
- providing clear and complete explanations to the customer
- coordinate with the support team to close out the installation/repair
Field technicians provide service across our coverage area (Mendocino to The Sea Ranch to Anderson Valley).

Basic Requirements
- YOU MUST HAVE SECURED HOUSING WITHIN 30 MINS OF FORT BRAGG TO BE CONSIDERED
- You must be friendly positive and have outstanding customer service skills
- You should have solid verbal and written communication skills
- You can make a long term commitment (this is not a temporary assignment)
- You are a fast learner of radio and networking technologies
- You are authorized to work in the United States
- You are available to work more than 30 hours per week
Job Specific Requirements
- Ideally you have 12 years experience in light construction as installers of residential satelliteTV security systems or similar experience.
- You must be able to lift 50 lbs and climb 40foot ladders while meeting weight restrictions to comply with OSHA/FR safety standards.
- After training you must pass training certifications and be able to perform work safely at height (0100) on towers and trees while complying with OSHA/FR safety standards.
- You must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle and pass an MVR (driving record) test
