We are hiring a Sous Chef for a Gastro bar in Meath Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee the kitchen crew when the chef is away.
- To instruct junior kitchen employees on all aspects of line cooking food preparation and dish plating among other things.
- To keep an eye on and arrange cooking supplies and materials
- In order to guarantee a firstin firstout food rotation system and to make sure that every food product is appropriately dated and arranged for quality control
- To maintain stocked cooking stations particularly prior to and during peak operation hours
- To teach new hires in the kitchen the requirements of restaurants and kitchens
- To oversee the ordering of food and products minimize waste maintain thorough records and collaborate with current systems to further reduce waste
- To oversee the preparation and presentation of the meals in order to guarantee standards for quality and banqueting/restaurant
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as sous chef
- Good Organisational skills
- Ability to lead as well as work with your team
- Fluent written & spoken English
- Permission to work & reside in Ireland
