Job Purpose:
One of our esteemed clients is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Parties to join their culinary team. The successful candidate will manage a specific section of the kitchen ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standard while supporting the overall kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes ensuring consistent quality taste and presentation in line with the restaurants high standards.
- Section Management: Oversee a specific section (e.g. grill sauce pastry) ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of dishes during service.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef Sous Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and highquality food production.
- Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels for your section ensuring ingredients are ordered on time and waste is minimised.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
- Training and Mentoring: Assist in training and developing junior kitchen staff ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation.
- Menu Development: Participate in menu planning and development contributing ideas for new dishes and improvements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a highend restaurant or hotel.
- Culinary Expertise: Strong culinary skills with an eye for detail and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Time Management: Capable of managing time efficiently especially during busy service periods.
- Food Safety: Uptodate knowledge of health hygiene and food safety regulations. A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
