Industrial Sales Representative
We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to provide industrial hardware directly to customers within a defined geographic territory. This role involves coldcalling prospecting and building relationships with businesses. The candidate must reside within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new sales prospects through research referrals and visits to businesses near existing customers.
- Conduct facetoface sales calls with both cold and warm leads.
- Provide customer service in accordance with company training and standards.
- Submit accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls.
- Present products and services to customers using sample boards product demos and the mobile store.
- Ensure the mobile store is clean welloperated and effectively marketed.
- Maintain uptodate customer contact information using company software including customer notes names phone numbers email addresses and physical addresses.
- Provide and maintain an approved fully insured vehicle (mobile store) covering insurance fuel and maintenance costs along with the necessary mobile devices (tablet iPad phone) for territory management.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance jobrelated skills.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Outside industrial sales experience preferred especially in route or industrial sales. Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical reasoning and organizational skills.
- Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using databases spreadsheets email and common business applications.
- Knowledge of the products we sell is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle (mobile store).
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Aboveaverage mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to kneel and bend regularly as part of the job.
- Clean driving history.
- Professional demeanor when representing the company including driving the approved vehicle wearing company attire and attending company functions.
