Position Overview:
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to develop and maintain reports and dashboards that drive insights in the gaming industry. In this role youll ensure data is accessible and usable supporting comprehensive analysis and reporting to inform key business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts dataanalysts and business stakeholders to understand the reportingrequirements and translate them into effective and insightfulreports.
- Provide technical guidance on thefeasibility and optimal ways to meet reporting needs.
- Develop design and maintain visuallycompelling and interactive dashboards and reports.
- Work closely with data engineers anddata architects to ensure the data feeding into the BI platform isaccurate timely and reliable.
- Ensure data models are wellsuited forfrontend reporting needs.
- Ensure that visualisations adhere tobest practices in data visualisation.
- Optimise reports and dashboards forperformance and efficiency.
- Implement rolebased access controls tosecure sensitive data.
- Ensure that reports comply with companydata governance policies including security and privacy standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation forall reports and dashboards.
- Provide support to endusers bytroubleshooting issues answering questions and ensuring they caneffectively use reports.
- Conduct training sessions to help usersunderstand and utilise the reports and dashboards effectively.
- Stay up to date with the latest bestpractices in reporting and business intelligence.
- Continuously improve the reportingprocesses and practices incorporating feedback from users and datateam members.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer scienceinformation systems data science or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in BI/reportdevelopment with a focus on frontend development using Tableau.
- Proficiency in Tableau with a strongportfolio of Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g. PowerBI Qlik) is a plus.
- Proven experience in translatingbusiness requirements into actionable insights through reportingtools.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complexdata sets.
- High attention to detail with acommitment to delivering highquality work.
- Ability to ensure data accuracy andvisualisation clarity.
- Strong data modelling skills withemphasis on dimensional modelling.
- Experience with SQL and data queryingincluding complex joins subqueries and data aggregation.
- Familiarity with data warehousingconcepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills with the ability to present complexinformation to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple projectsand meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and aspart of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience of working in SCRUMenvironment is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new technologiestools and processes.
- Willingness to continuously learn andimprove technical skills.
