Job Description
Location: Pasadena CA
Work setup: Flexible working arrangement
Responsibilities:
- Draft/review/respond to discovery documents and motions
- Attend take and defend depositions (both fact and expert witnesses)
- Attend conferences with expert witnesses and summarize those meetings
- Review and summarize various records including medical records HR records and documents produced in discovery
- Perform legal/medical research
- Attend court hearings and argue motions as necessary
- Assist in trial preparation including the drafting of trial documents motions in limine and other required tasks
- Perform all tasks involved in a civil litigation case from inception to trial including discovery law & motion expert discovery and trial preparation
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ABAaccredited law school
- California Bar member in good standing
- At least 3 years of attorney experience
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Selfmotivated and able to work independently with team support
- Skilled in managing and prioritizing complex cases
- Effective team player
- Required experience in civil litigation (plaintiff or defense)
- Preferred interest in medical malpractice and civil defense litigation; prior experience in these areas is a plus
