We are seeking a motivated and innovative Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading FinTech company located in New York City. In this fulltime role you will play a crucial part in developing and enhancing our Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement robust backend solutions that drive our financial technology products. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems that support our SaaS offerings.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Implement application security and data protection measures.
- Participate in code reviews testing and documentation practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Work closely with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into backend development.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g. Python Java Node.js Ruby).
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
- Understanding of database management systems (e.g. SQL NoSQL).
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for technology and eagerness to learn and grow within the software engineering field.
