Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Lab Technologist to join a dynamic Chemistry lab just miles from Kingsbridge New York!
This fulltime position offers the opportunity to work in a cuttingedge laboratory environment with a focus on preparing pathological slides for diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency tests on various body fluids using automated and manual equipment
- Prepare reagents and manage inventory
- Assist with order entry and phone inquiries
- Provide guidance to technicians and train new employees
- Maintain a clean work area following Infection Control guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a physical science; medical technology preferred.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or a limited permit is required.
- Proficiency with laboratory and hospital information system computers as well as various automated and laboratory equipment is essential.
Benefits
Bachelor's degree in a physical science, preferably in medical technology. Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from the New York State Department of Education Two years of hands-on experience in histological procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience operating the following equipment: Rotary Microtome Scales pH Meter Automated Cover Slipper Microscope Embedding Center Tissue Processor Water Bath Cryoplate Incubator Oven
