Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate/Lead to support the daily operations of our warehouse in Sumter SC. The ideal candidate will assist the Warehouse Manager in managing the warehouse team ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Support:
Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse activities including order processing inventory management and shipping/receiving tasks.
Take the lead in executing daytoday tasks ensuring that all orders are pulled packed and shipped accurately and on time.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of warehouse associates providing guidance training and support as needed.
Ensure that all team members are adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
Forklift Operation:
Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks move inventory within the warehouse and ensure safe handling of all products.
Ensure that all team members are properly trained and certified to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records conducting regular cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
Ensure that the warehouse is wellorganized with inventory properly stored and easily accessible.
Communication:
Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and Administrative team to ensure smooth communication and timely processing of orders.
Report any issues or delays in the workflow to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse setting with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a warehouse environment is preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead a team and maintain a high level of productivity.
Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
Technical Skills:
Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
