We are hiring a Staff Nurse Oncology Day Unit into a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
We are hiring a Staff Nurse Oncology Day Unit into a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are at the center of all we do.
Key Responsibilities
- To be aware of the practices and policies set out by the Hospital and the Department of Health on the safe administration of cytotoxic preparations.
- To work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care expertise and knowledge.
- The administration of prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients via PICC cannula Hickman or Portacath.
- To administer chemotherapy according to the protocols as set out by the hospital Cancer Centre.
- To provide information about treatment and side effects giving written information as appropriate.
- To facilitate effective communication between the patient multidisciplinary team and their family.
- Assess staff competencies and make patient care assignments.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to appropriate personnel consistent with professional and legal guidelines and departmental standards.
- Maintains clear communications with the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs and incidents.
- Serve as a resource person on the unit.
- Assist with all needed patient care.
- Adhere to internal controls established for the department.
Requirements
- NMBI Registered General Nurse license in good standing.
- Oncology Related postgraduation qualification desirable
- Two years of clinical experience preferred.
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Candidates must possess teaching abilities professional judgment leadership qualities critical thinking and problemsolving abilities and a sense of professional development.
- Must demonstrate multitasking ability.
- Utilises effective time management skills.
