JOB BRIEF: Our client is seeking to hire a Production Supervisor to oversee various manufacturing processes. This role entails acting as a vital link between upper management and production workers setting priorities allocating resources and enhancing efficiency.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Production Planning and Organizing: Develop production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resources assign tasks and ensure resource availability. This involves assessing deadlines available manpower and equipment availability.
2) Team Management: Supervise and Coordinate the activities of production workers ensuring that they understand their roles and responsibilities and carry them out efficiently. This includes assigning tasks providing training and monitoring daily performance.
3) Resource planning: Evaluate production requirements and allocate manpower accordingly.
4) Quality Control: Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain product standards and by conducting regular inspections addressing any quality issues or deviations and implementing corrective actions.
5) Equipment Maintenance: Raise issues concerning maintenance repairs and operation of productions machinery and equipment. This including working closely with the production Manager and Maintenance team to schedule maintenance activities trouble shooting and coordination.
6) Staff Training and Development: Train new hires and provide ongoing skills development opportunities to enhance team performance.
7) Continuous improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity efficiency and overall performance by analyzing production data identifying bottlenecks and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
8) Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and foster a workplace safety culture by conducting safety inspections regular safety audits providing safety training and addressing any safety concerns promptly to mitigate hazards.
9) Production related reports and documentation: Maintaining up to date records and to prepare reports on key performance metrics such as production output quality and efficiency. This information is often used to track progress identify trends and make datadriven decisions.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelors degree in relevant field such as manufacturing engineering Food science or industrial technology is often preferred.
