Our client in Hot Springs AR is in search of an experienced Director of People Services within their facility. This position is onsite with up to 20% travel as needed.
The selected candidate will:
- Formulate and recommend program goals and objectives in all areas of coworker relations.
- Develop implement and administer the coworker relations area of the personnel program in an effort to improve coworker relations.
- Responsible for developing an organizational focus of a family friendly environment.
- Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization s goals and strategy related to staffing recruiting and retention.
- Supervise and provide direction to subordinate staff engaged in developing and administering the recruitment and selection procedures and the personnel policies and procedures.
- Supervise and provide direction to subordinate staff engaged in developing and establishing inservice employee training and educational assistance programs to upgrade managerial technical and supportlevel productivity.
- Investigate problems such as: working conditions disciplinary actions and employee and applicant appeals and grievances according to circumstances and provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to departmental officials and individuals.
- Prepare and present required and special reports.
- Develop and present the operating budget for the Human Resources Dept. and upon final budget approval assures that all functions operate within appropriated amounts.
- Evaluate or review evaluations of performance on all coworkers; effectively recommends hiring promotion termination disciplinary and commendatory actions of all assigned personnel.
- Supervise and direct onboarding of new employees including determination of eligibility for hire; directs and updates general orientation process for all new employees.
- Direct recruitment activities including advertising mediums and outreach recruitment in conjunction with Nursing Administration and Ancillary Department Leaders as needed.
- Provide high level communication and training to director and manager level associates regarding human resources policies procedures and practices.

Requirements
Must have hospital/medical center experience.
Must possess considerable knowledge of coworker relations: the principles practices and procedures of Human Resource Management.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or Public Administration Human Resource Management or closely related field.
Must possess strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Human Resources.
SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) is preferred.
Master s degree preferred.
