Job Description
Credit Analyst Cape Town
Our wholesale / FMCG / Retail client in Cape Town is looking for a credit analyst to identify measure mitigating and monitoring credit risk to ensure that the credit quality remains within acceptable limits. Conduct detailed credit risk analysis for potential and existing clients.

Min Requirement
Matric with relevant credit/financial Diploma/Degree
35 years postqualification experience in wholesale credit risk management corporate or investment banking or a similar field.
Practical knowledge of Credit Risk Management in the financial services industry.
Solid experience in working with and interpreting financial information to assess credit risk
Knowledge of Private Sector (e.g. GAAP IFRS) and Public Sector Financial Reporting (e.g. GRAP IAS IFRS King IV MFMA PFMA) cost accounting financial analysis and auditing.
Practical knowledge of commercial legal agreements for debt and debtlike structures including ongoing monitoring of covenants collateral and breach monitoring.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct detailed credit risk analysis for potential and existing clients.
Evaluate clients’ financial backgrounds ongoing ability to repay and adherence to lending conditions.
Monitor and manage credit quality ensuring compliance with lending conditions and mitigating potential risks.
Develop and maintain comprehensive credit reports incorporating recommendations and credit mitigations.
