Job Description
- Collaborate with the EOC project design and build team to determine the specifications of the project.
- Determine needed resources (manpower equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Ensure that the main contractor acquires equipment and material and monitor stocks to handle inadequacies timeously.
- Supervise the work of the main contractor subcontractors contractor suppliers client nominated suppliers and give them guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare regular detailed reports to the Project Manager (client).
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues to the Site Manager and Agent
Requirements
- BEng/BSc or BTech Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (property development construction management).
- Professional Construction Manager registration with SACPCMP (Active registration)/Candidate Construction Manager registration with SACPCMP (Active registration).
- 515 years of experience in a similar role including Project Management for projects valued at R50 million or more with capability to integrate various disciplines during design and construction
- Indepth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles;
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards;
- Good knowledge of MS Office;
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software (Primavera P6);
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills;
- A team player with leadership abilities.
